Photos
Clutch reads every photo you upload
Each file gets a description: what it shows, where, who is in it and the colours. Clutch finds and places it by those words.
Maison Lune's photo library in Clutch. Each upload gets a description: alt text, a caption, its kind, setting, people, tags and colours. A search for terrace night finds the two night terrace photos by those words, and the marketer asks for the night one on the Patio page, where it is placed with its alt text. Nothing is live until she publishes.
Clutch writes the same description for every kind of file.
Every kind told apart
Photo, graphic, floor plan or logo; interior or exterior; whether a person is in frame.
Alt text and caption
Alt text sized for a screen reader; a caption that names the subject, the light and the time of day.
Only your own pictures
Every picture comes from your site, your Figma file or your upload, and Clutch picks it by its description.
Clutch describes only what it can see.
Search matches only the words Clutch wrote; a word the description never contains finds nothing.
SVG has no pixels to read and is not described; video is described from a poster frame and is capped, the cap in the docs. Images are re-encoded.
The description never guesses the business name or the address. A file Clutch could not describe can be asked again.
