Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes. No signup, no email. Paste a URL and read the report.

Where do the numbers come from?

Google PageSpeed Insights for speed, accessibility, best practices and search. A real browser opens your home page the way an AI assistant does, and Claude's own web fetcher opens it too, so we can see what an assistant that runs no scripts reads. Claude reads what the page shows. Our own reads of your robots.txt (the file that tells crawlers where they may go), your sitemap, llms.txt (a short guide to your site for AI assistants) and the structured data in your pages.

Why is my site not on the boards?

A site appears once the grader has finished scanning it and given it a letter, and a board shows once it holds two sites. Grade it above and it joins.

Why is it lower than Lighthouse in my browser?

Google's lab runs a phone on a slow connection. Your laptop on office Wi-Fi is faster than your visitors, so the report reads closer to what they see.

Can I grade a site I do not own?

Yes, any public site. The run only reads.
