What the shopper's assistant answered

I found one candidate for Alexandria, VA: Cortland, a national apartment company. I read only its homepage, so I can't confirm specific Alexandria units, prices, or availability. What the Cortland website says - Cortland describes itself as a leader in the multifamily industry, we create resident-centric, hospitality-driven living spaces and experiences across the US. - Its homepage has a "Find Your Home" search. It asks you to Start Searching by City, State, Neighborhood, ZIP, etc... - The site lists markets by region. Under Virginia & D.C., the list includes Alexandria. The Alexandria link on the homepage points to https://cortland.com/apartments/northern-virginia-and-dc-metro/alexandria-apts/. I did not open that page. - The site has a Contact Us page at https://cortland.com/contact/ and a Careers page at https://cortland.com/careers/. Why it fits Cortland has a dedicated Alexandria listing, so it is a reasonable place to start if you want a managed apartment community in that city. The homepage's search and market links are the way to reach it. Next steps 1. Go to https://cortland.com/apartments/northern-virginia-and-dc-metro/alexandria-apts/ to see the Alexandria communities. This is the page I'd check first, but I haven't read it. 2. Use the "Find Your Home" search on https://cortland.com/ if you want to check other Alexandria neighborhoods or ZIP codes. 3. Use https://cortland.com/contact/ to ask about current availability, rent, and move-in terms. What the homepage did not say It gave no rents, floor plans, available units, lease terms, pet policies, or Alexandria addresses. Those details would be on the Alexandria listing page or in a call to the company. The site does state a fair housing policy: We will not discriminate in the leasing or management of any of our communities on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, handicap, familial status, sexual orientation, national origin, or any other class protected by applicable law. Because I could only check one company, you may want to compare other Alexandria rental sites before deciding.
